Newer trannies have the Tow feature since 99 only. It locks out OD and
shifts quicker/harder for towing. NO, you are not to tow in OD, especiall=

not heavy loads. Did that other guy read his owner's manual? No one ever
reads that book when buying a new vehicle. I Always look through mine and
make notes of anything I haven't had before in options and maybe look for
differences in things I thought I did know, and maybe don't. Also, for
other guy, DON'T be driving around on highway/roads in second gear! OK, f=

slow up a hill or in snow to prevent spinning, but NOT for regular drivin=
g.

My truck, a 2000 Silverado with the Heavy Duty towing package has a=0D
