Hedman block hugger headers should do. If you look at my page you can see
them and how close they are to the steering gear

I need to find out which (if any) headers will fit with the following setup
in my '51 GMC 1/2 ton.
small block chev
TH350 trans
original steering box (moved outboard 1.5 inches)
tubular style crossmember/engine mount
The transmission mount is about 1.5 inches ahead of the stock trans mounting
holes. There is only about 2.5 inches of clearance between the driver's
side cylinder head and the steering box.
