Agreed; per this thread, I've wondered how any new gear sets could compete with
Patrick's which sells for both the AD and TF rear ends.
If you want custom, then a different gear set in an original rear end isn't the
way to
go. If you want better highway gearing in an original style truck, then it
is...unless
you can come up with an original overdrive as I did for my Chevy Suburban.
If you have a TF GMC, there's also the option of finding the optional 3.38 rear
end. I
know they exist because my 59 GMC Suburban has one and the original literature
mentions
it.
