What about between the headliner and the ceiling next to where the visors
mount? I think you could get some 6.5" round speakers in there.

This might help out -
1) Inner center trim has two pieces a top and bottom to cover the gap or
at least that is what I got from Chevy duty - the center strip and the
two caps at the top and bottom.
2) I have never used these, but I can check my assembly manual and let
you know if you don't get a response on this.
3) I had two cut-outs in the doors with a cover plate about 12" x 4" and
I mounted two pioneer 4 x 6 speakers there and the sound is really good
and fills the cab. I am too looking at mounting a sub, probably with all
the room under the seat I will mount it there and port it out the front
with a hole in the metal of the seat "stand"
I hope that helps out...

Hi Folks:
A coupla questions:
- The inner windshield chrome surrounds in our GMC come together in the
middle, and there is a small, bent chrome finishing piece that covers
the
gap at the bottom. We do not have one for the top - was there one there
too,
matching the bottom one?
- We bought a set of "door hold-open springs", sort of bent, U-shaped
deals,
but have no idea on how or where to install them! Any clue?
- Has anyone figured out a way to install a decent sound system in the
cab
without butchering the door panels? Dusty wants a small sub-woofer
behind
the seat, but the regular speakers...where can we put them??
Thanks! I'll post pics of the truck somewhere soon - it's nearly
finished,
just needs the bed wood done and installed. But he's driving it!!!!
