Michael, on the '54's, the entire grill is painted the same color as the
truck. On the lower most bar and the second bar (that is in two pieces), the
inner portion is painted "Thisle Gray". Also on the "Bull Nose" piece, the
inner portion of it is also painted "Thisle Gray" as well. On '55 1st series,
the grill was white with black inner portion. Hope this helps!

there are 3 "planes" that run the length of these bars and I'm trying to
find out where the color change occurs. Is it on the second or third plane
counting from the face.
