Does anyone know what is the correct length of the
shaft for the postmount spotlights. Are they 10"
long?
Was Unity used for Chevy and Guide used for GMC?
Thanks for any advice,

Hi Jon, i have a S-18 Guide drivers side door post mount spotlight instaled
on my 53 truck .its about 14 !/2 inches end to end....there is also a S -16
thats supposed to have a shorter arm.i had to instal a small callor for
cosmetics because you want it out as much as posable so as not to interfere
with the steering wheel.so maybe the S-16 would have fit better...the Guide
lights are much harder to find than Unity.but i think both are
correct....working guide spotlight bulbs are very hard to come by..
in one of my original GMC parts books it shows a unity spotlight as original
equipment and in a chevy book it pictures Guide spotluights on the sedans and
unity on the trucks....but im told its correct either way....Unity is still
in business and parts are redily available......steve
