Finally got the new bushings on my clutch and brake pedals reamed out and
reinstalled. I used a 3/4 inch barrel sanding drum in my drill to rough it
out in small steps. In between I used a brake cylinder hone to make sure
things stayed round. Took a little time and many trips in and out under the
truck to get it right. The work was worth it, the clutch and brake now
operate smoothly and grease reaches the bushings too. My shaft had a little
wear too, so the fit is not perfect, but much better than before. Thanks to
a tip about the brake cylinder hone, I did this myself and did not have to
search out a machine shop locally. To celebrate, I took the truck out for a
nice ride today, I hit every bug in north Texas.
