[oletrucks] Rear End Question

I have located a possible 3.72 rear end for my stock > ton 1953 GMC.
The donor is a > ton GMC Vandura van with VIN GE305-U111431 and model
number 36305.  I cant easily get under the van so I was hoping the
numbers might reveal something about the rear end.  Is there a VIN
decoder for GMC vans and will it give the rear end ratio?
