Thanks to all who responded to my SOS about the brake lights/turn signals,
especially those who sent diagrams.  I finally found the culprit, which was a
wire from the turn signal plug to the brake light switch.  Now I got brake
lights, turn signals and tail lights.  Couldn't have done it without you guys.
