I want to convert to 12v on my '51. My question is what type of alternator should I be looking for. I don't intend to run any serious electrical stuff so output isn't an issue. I know the older ones used external voltage regulators, newer ones used an internal and the much newer ones only use 1 wire. The later type seem to be all serpentine belt pulleys. Any suggestions? oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
