I have a non-boosted dual master cylinder running disk on the
fronty/drums on the rear and am very happy with it.

Subject: [oletrucks] power brakes
I recently installed a disc brake kit on my 1958 Apache Stepside. Now I
would
like to upgrade the master cylinder. The PO installed a SBC motor with
a 350
transmission. It has dual exhaust coming straight back. I originally
thought
to install a new booster and master kit but I am having second
thoughts.
The booster takes up a lot of space and I am concerned about its
proximity to
the exhaust pipe. Now I am thinking about a dual master cylinder with
no
booster. Will this provide enough braking power ? ( especially since
this
will be my wife's toy ) Also , if I went with a booster, is a single
or
dual diaphragm more drivable
Thanks
