I know that you are supposed to note the relative position of the pressure
plate in relation to the flywheel so that you can put it back in the same
position when reassembling. Is this for balance reasons? If so, what
happens if you put a new pressure plate on? Obviously, the balance of the
new one will not be the same as the old one...so then how do you figure out
how to do it so the moving mass stays balanced? Inquiring minds want to
know.
