I just had one of the most exciting moments in my life (well, up there among
the top 10). On Saturday, I loaded up all the body parts on my '54 half-ton
and transported them up north for body and paint. I took lots of photos
and documented everything, including the handing over of the first check
and the signing of the contract with the proprietor. He said that they've
had others over the years who were as weird as I.
I have some "hole" questions for the group that I'm hoping someone can help
me with.
1. The front splash apron has a two holes on the left and two on the right.
It appears as tho they are factory holes but I can't be sure. I believe
that the ones on the right (passenger side) are for the license plate but
am not sure. Perhaps there should be none?
2. Tops of my front fenders have two holes in them from turn signals which
I believe were added options...does anyone know or should I have him plug
them up?
3. Sides of bed have three holes in a triangle pattern (in front of the
fenders), I know that the driver's side had a spare tire mount option which
I will be pursuing, but was that also an option on the passenger side?
Thanks in advance.
