Rocky ~
Assuming that your truck is 3/4 ton and has 8 lug wheels, the most
important thing to do when looking for replacement 8 lug wheels is to
check the backspacing. (the distance from the backside mounting surface
to the back edge of the rim) I had my 8 lug 15 inch wheels custom made
by Stockton Wheels (www.stocktonwheels.com) with 4 in. backspacing. I
would even suggest 3 7/8 inches if possible for proper clearance from
the tie rod ends. There are 8 lug F@#d and Dodge wheels out there that
will work but you must use spacers to make them clear the tie rod ends.

I have a question about wheels for my > ton. Its past time to get rid
of the split rims (widow makers). I have been collecting e-mail
messages on the subject but my computer crashed and everything is lost
so I need to refresh my idea bank. Everything on the truck is
original so I have to be careful about tie rods and clearance. Those of
you who have dealt with this problem, help!
Thanks,
Rocky Jones
