Went to the Autorama show this weekend in Sacramento, there were a few items
that got my attention. The first one was a 6 Cyl Inline engine being sold by
one of the local dismantlers (AKA: Bone yards). This was a complete 2002
Chevy 6 Cyl. Inline engine with transmission, computer, harness and FI
system. This engine came out of an Envoy, asking price $5,500.
The other interesting item that I saw was a hot rodded AD truck and it had a
nice detail on the tailgate; for the latch on the tail gate they used a seat
belt buckle from a GM vehicle. The tail gate had the male assembly bolted or
welded on the side on the tail gate and the bed side just right below the
stake pockets had the female release part of the buckle. This is great idea.
A lot of nice trucks and vehicles, most of them trailer queen, (IMHO: A
great waste!).
My favorite car was a '55 Chevy nomad that was complete rebuild with
Corvette components and drive train, it was named the 'Newmad', an
incredible vehicle, a trailer queen of course, I don't think this vehicle
has seen real asphalt.
