Good information on that site...but doesn't say what to set the lash to.
For a cold 235, what should the intake and exhaust lash be set to initially.
This engine has solid lifters...I just hope I haven't already bent my push
rods. I tried to start it after having the head milled (don't know how
much...I simply asked for "as little as possible"), didn't even consider the
fact that this would bring the rocker arms closer to the block, hence, less
lash. I expected to be able to start the truck, warm it up, then set the
lash, but now I realize that that was probably why it was so hard to get it
to run well, and might have done some damage to either the pushrods or maybe
lifters? I'll pull the rocker assembly today and see if the push rods are
bent...hopefully, that would be all that might have been damaged...at this
point, I don't know that anything is, but I would think the push rods have
very little give...anyone have a spare set? :-)

  Rob ~

There is a great "how to adjust my valves" on the FAQ page at
  http://www.stovebolt.com/truck/faq.html
I have used these methods with good results.
