I've used Por-15 at length 3 times so far. Most exstensive was on a frame off
rebuild of a Jeep CJ-5. I wire wheeled the frame and axles and applied the
stuff. Also used it on the body/fender undersides. It looked great and held
great for the next 3 years I owned the Jeep, taking off rode extensively. Also
used it on the frame/axles and engine compartents of a 65 Chevelle and 68 Sub.
Which also turned out very nice and recieved lots of good comments on them as
well. Good stuff, but don't get it on your hands. Wish I still had that sub.

I see that they recommend it for undercoating and frame painting, but I'm
assuming that it would not be acceptable for regular body surfaces. Have
you tried it on a fender? Would it take an excessive amount of sanding to
prepare it for a final top-coat?

It seems a little pricey, but it goes a long long way, and can be used over
rust, (POR=paint on rust), but I sandblast anyway. Everyone I know who has
