 Cam angle, or dwell, is the number of degrees of cam rotation from the
instant the ignition breaker points close until they open again. It is
controlled entirely by the width of the breaker point gap. Decreasing the
width of the breaker point gap, increases the cam angle/dwell.
  I couldn't find a conversion chart, but if you have a point gap of .019 the
dwell will be 30 degrees. If the gap is .015 the dwell will increase to 42
degrees. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to convert the point gap setting so that you can just
read it with a dwell meter?
