do you have to make a plate for the bottom of the intake

Hoot, that is your heat source for the manifold,you dont have to do anything
but depending on the climate were you live you may need some heat to make it
run right .what i did was make a plate out of aluminum tapped it for two
barbed fittings and plummed heater water in and out of that cavity instead of
exhaust gas...this works fine for my dual carb set up..ive seen others use
the same plate for exhaust gas heat from the fentons..steve
