[oletrucks] Vin # and engine Id # 51 GMC?

Hi guys.  Does someone have a book to decode numbers?  My vin is 10122P14787. 
 The only numer i could find on the engine was on the head above the the #5 
exhaust port and it is 6107412.  The engine has been in there a long time 
maybe original.  It has a Zenith carb on it and the waterpump is below the 
valve cover.  It has 5 freezeplugs on the drivers side.

The vin tag also said 90 hp at 3200RPM  Looked for the engine # around the 
starter but couldn't see anything.  Does the starter have to come off?

There was also a   2 FERRO stamped on the top of the head and in the middle 
was 11820 in very bold casting
