My 48 suburban has the 56' 270gmc w/302 head with a five port Mcgurk
intake w/triple 1bl strombergs and dual exhaust. The radiator is mounted
to the front side of the support. The cross member was not moved. My
Gramps did this 40 or so years ago. It looks like factory. This truck
wieghs 5800lbs empty. It has the 17"- 3 piece rims w/xca sbr 10ply mich.
So it has no problem cruising @ 70mph all day long. I'm just glad he did
it and not me.
