I have a stack of 6 hole rims that will fit my truck. I am looking for the
5 best (4 running 1 spare). I have picked out what I think are the 6 best,
then I started to sand blast one of these. After blasting this first one I
saw the letters G M stamped into the rim. This was found on the outside
above one of the clips. The G and M are spaced on each side of the clip.
None of the other rims I have looked at this stamp - that I can find (pre
blasted). It could be covered by paint etc but I can not see it. Any ideas
on this one - or should it be on all of them?

Is there any way PRIOR to blasting that I can pick out the best. I have
removed all with visible bends and nicks in the rim edges. However, with
one rims that I am now running, the tire store upon mounting told me that it
was bend and I should replace it. I can not see it to look at it. How can
I be assured that I pick out the best ones prior to spending the time and
effort blasting and repaint them? Any and all hints and suggestions
welcomed.

Two, last paint questions.

I am painting my truck green with black fenders. What is the correct
ORIGINAL color for the rims. Should they be the same color green as the
truck or black like the fenders. This is an Art Deco 1945 half ton truck.

Second, I have an aluminum and chrome exterior sun visor. Should it be
painted the same green as the body. Also should the underside be painted
the same green or should it be black - less reflection etc.???

Thanks,
NHJim
