'49-'50 GMC Cab Windlace Retaining Strip
Our '50 GMC has the earlier interior cab windlace style, with the screw-on
metal strip that clamps the rubber to the inner door openings. However,
when I screw it on, the screws pull the thin metal down and sort of buckle
it a little, leaving a rather "bumpy" effect overall. Is there supposed to
be any sort of elongated metal washer or spacer that goes between the screw
and the strip itself? Any help is appreciated!
