Thanks for the update, Rick. I've been following Scott's new adventure
since I saw it in "Hot Rod" magazine last month. Looks like a classic run
down Route 66. I'll look forward to following this latest adventure. My
ladyfriend, Lisa, was diagnosed with MS about 7 years ago. Obviously, I
greatly appreciate Scott Sensing's efforts to raise money for the MS
program. Wonderful to see his ol' AD chugging away for the second great
trip. Just shows these old trucks were made to run......and keep on
running. All us owners tend to baby them (at least I do), but these old
trucks were tough as nails and could run on forever. Great to see Scott
proving that.......and working for such good causes in the process.

Subject: [oletrucks] Shelley Spotted! (Route 66 Drive)
> Well, I had just picked up a new Classic Trucks magazine, and there was a
story about Scott Sensing and his '52 Chevy truck "Shelley". When I got off
work this afternoon, what do I see, but Shelley sitting in a motel parking
lot in Urbana, IL. I was in a bunch of traffic and in the wrong lane or else
I would've stopped and talked to Scott! He is on another long road trip.
This time he is driving Old Route 66 for Multiple Sclerosis. He started in
Chicago and this must be his first stop. Wish I could have talked to him, I
had a Grandfather who had MS, he passed away because of it. I also have a
first cousin who has the dreaded illness as well. Well I wish him lots of
luck on his trip! You can go to his website if you want to participate in
any way! It is:

> His rough schedule is as follows:
>
> week 1: ILLINOIS early august, week 2: MISSOURI mid august, week 3:
OKLAHOMA late august, week 4: TEXAS/NEW MEXICO late august, week 5: ARIZONA
early september, and finnally week 6: CALIFORNIA mid september. If you know
where Route 66 went and/or still goes, then you can pretty much tell where
he'll be!
