I thought I posted this but must have slipped throught the cracks. Anyway
loosen the nut and Rap on the column
a couple of times with a ball peen hammer. A little WD40 doesn't hurt
either. I've removed several this way.
It's a physics thing. Kenetic Energy or something. Be shure to leave the nut
on to keep from ruining any threads. if it doesn't work with a couple of
good cracks get the puller. as was previously stated this is some pretty
hard steel and won't deform unless you get really carried away with the BFH.
