55-2 doors are slightly different than 56-59 doors.
The screws that attach the inner door panel to the
doors are 1/4" by 20 threads per inch in 56-59. In
the 55-2 doors the screws (and their threaded holes
in the door) are smaller. I think they are #12 screws,
but I'm not sure. So if you are a REAL restoration nut
make sure you have the right size screws and the proper
doors.
Me? I accidentally put a repaired 55-2 door on my
57 and then found out about the larger screws. There
was plenty of meat on the door to drill the holes out
and tap them for 1/4x20.
