[oletrucks] sheet metal

I am putting a 383(350) with a 700r4 tranny behind it in a `49 GMC 
1/2 ton ....can anyone tell me if I will have to have any sheet metal 
work done to the firewall to make it all fit.I am about to send the 
cab to the body shop and no sense cleaning up the firewall if it has 
to be altered later to fit the new motor and tranny.....thanks Bob
