I just got off the phone with Jeff at Bow Tie Bits. He now has a new e-mail
address bowtiebits@aol.com. Also he told me of some of the things he is now
up to. He developed a machine that will re-mold the steering wheel. They
knock off all of the old stuff down to the medal frame then remold the
wheel. It is primed however you will need to sand it and paint it your
color. Also, he found the original GM headliner blue print for the 42
truck. He had a die stamp produced and now makes EXACT headliners in Brown,
Black and Gray. He also developed a machine and has the ability to rebuild
the level shocks. They press in a new cylinder? His new catalog is out and
a lot of the diagrams are by Bryant Stewart. Just give Jeff a call and he
will get one out to you 888 838 6887. Let him know you are on the list.
Later this year he is moving his shop in Wichita KS. He told me he has 40
cabs and does not want to move them - he is putting together a list of the
items he want to BLOW OUT rather than move. I will update you when he get
this all together. By the end of this year he should have his web site up
and running.
Again, I just got off the phone and thought you would all be interested. I
have no profit or gain to be made from this - this is just the best parts
dealer I have ever purchased from!
