Never dreamed I get to have oak bedwood in my ol bulletnose. Fell into a
great deal.
Question: In the Bed Restoration Manual, it says that you need to finish the
underside of the bedwood also, to keep the wood from cupping. I had always
planned to use exterior Varethane on the top side of the bedwood.. I've
also had really good luck with Thompsons Waterseal for decks and such. Can
or should these two products be mixed as in Varethane on top with Thompsons
on the underside of the wood? Or can the wood be completely sealed with
Thompsons and Varethane applied over it for the smooth finish? Or would it
be better to just do all surfaces of the wood with the Varethane?
I sure would appreciate any suggestions, tips, hints, warnings etc Thaknks
