Oddly enough, I have a 47-50 door on one side and a 51 door on the other
side. The inside molding you're talking about is not as "deep" (width if
you're looking down at the moulding) on the 47-50 as it is on the 51. When
I originally looked at the doors I thought they looked the same and had
planned on getting the guts from a 51-53 door but now I'm going to have to
take some careful measurements because I see no real reason that the trim
should be so much thicker/deeper on the 51 door, but it is. I was surprised
when I took the moldings off and held them side by side. I would guess a
good 1/4" or so difference between the two. Of course, they might still
interchange because the window opening is the same shape, but I have no way
to check. And it wouldn't match the other door.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply. Mine are not stainless, they
are painted on the viewable side and on the inside
where the felt was stapled is rusted. Do you happen
to know if the windows from the 47 - 50 are the same
shape as the 51 - 53? If so, I would like to just get
the ss mouldings, then notch them for the window vent?
Just took a look and the seams fine. One crack is
where the cutout is for the vent window. Who ever
welded the crack got it too hot....it has turned color
and is britle. It has a big bow where it was welded.
I would really like to replace them with the ss ones,
give it a nice polish to give it that nice chrome
look. The truck is a 53 deluxe cab but is missing a
lot of interior trim....
