It started so simply, a truck for ten bucks,
The deal of the century, it must have been luck.
So what if it's tires are all bald and flat,
And that visible leak underneath, jet black.
She doesn't turn over, the brakes are amiss,
But the lights are intact, and that grille can be fixed.
How much can it cost to bring life to this beast?
A couple of grand and its back on it's feet.
And the beast comes to life, as it's appetite grows,
First a windshield, some shocks, as the cash starts to flow.
Of course, she who has watched from the window above,
Has known all along the real price for this "love".
And slowly you realize that what you have made,
Could have sent both your children to college, stamped
"paid".
But where would you be without your best friend,
That bond can't be broken, and lasts til the end.
Some men dream of power, some fortune and fame,
But oletruckers live for their shiny old dames.
oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
