Gotcha...I'm looking at putting in a new floor as
well. The old one has all kinds of rust pits and the
cab is bent to the drivers side along with the center
"oil canning" as Bob Adler said. Plus, the lower half
that is welded to the floor board the passenger side
cut out, this truck was big time messed up when I got
it. Going to cut out the original floor, straighten
the cab, then weld in the new floor. Although a bit
over kill, I was looking at 1/4" thick floor board.
This cab is really messed up and a bunch of the welds
all over the cab are broken, so I like to over build
things to make sure their is no strength
problems....and looking at adding in some cross
supports. Just was curious if anyone had put in
buckets from a mid 80's caddy coupe de ville. The
center console would need to be modified but the seats
seem to be really nice, comfortable, power, and the
backs can fold down. Would be really nice to finally
have a cup holder for a change...Jake, thanks for the
input on 2000 STS seats, I'll keep them in mind when I
finally get to the bone yards to look for some fresh
seats...
