I went through the same thing for my side window glass. Luckily I have a
friend in the glass business who explained to me that "Tempered Glass" is
twice as strong as the regular glass and that's what I wanted. Yes it cost
more but worth the expense! The other thing to look for is the Glass
Certification stamped in the corner!
