Sadly, this is no longer the case... I have been trying for 3 days to find
rear axle seals, and NAPA's books list them as NLA. They told me that much
of the pre-71 stuff has been declared such. Even the axle shop w/ 4 AD's in
the back lot couldn't get 'em :P
That leaves me the option of tearing out the old seal and taking it to a
bearing house - if they don't have it, I have an immobile truck, and must
wait for a catlog place to fill my order... if they can!
That was why I was trying to find the parts database that WAS online - even
an old NAPA part # was better than nothing; perhaps it had a modern
replacement #.
Anyone know the dimensions of a 50 rear axle seal to ask around at the
bearing houses BEFORE I tear it out?
