Subject: [oletrucks] Go ahead--Tell me I'm STUPID!!
I'm sort of new to this old truck stuff, so excuse me if this is a
really stupid question. I keep seeing the abreviations AD and TF on the
list. Could someone tell me what this stands for? Be nice now!!!
Also, has anyone had any trouble with ordering from Golden State
Parts? Guy sounds like he's mad at the world each time I call. Also
told me it would take 5 to 6 business days for my order to reach me.
After 12 days I called him, and was informed that my "seatcover" had to
be manufactured after they received the order, and could be up to a
month!!! He never told me that when I ordered it. Don't mean to bash
anybody, just a little upsetting. Get my truck back from paint shop
tomorrow!! I've got a "brand new" interior. My thanks to Bob Bean in
Eldorado, IL. He did a great job!! Curt Morris

Curt, the AD (Advanced Design, '47-1st '55) & TF (Task Force, '55-'59)
question was answered.
The Golden State question is tougher. They underwent an ownership change, I
think in 2000. I have been in the Anaheim store and it does not seem to me
to have the same "flavor" as the previous location. I buy a lot of TF stuff
from The Truck Shop In Orange, CA. They have a 118 page '47-'59 (2001)
catalog and their prices are good. 800-243-8947 Tues-Fri 9-5, Sat 9-4, PST.
I am not related but they helped with our All Chevy car show last October.
