1. 49 216 came with Carter W-1's, 50 MAY have changed to Rochester's (I
think 235's ALWAYS came with Rochester's). I have 49 3100 216; came with
Carter W-1. Also, I think the Zenith (at least downdraft models) were used
on larger trucks & especially the COE's, due to clearance needs.
2. Yes, 235 uses larger throat (at least I assume, because I KNOW it uses a
larger base; mounting holes are further apart than Carter carbs).
