Looks like Mark answered some of your
questions...he's a smart cookie, too! Here's my
take:
The fact is that Slick 50 had to refund money
because they made claims that weren't true.
The fact is that the folks selling these engine
treatments are salesmen, and are out for your buck.
The fact is that an engine will last a long time
with proper maintenance and no treatments.
The fact is that regular engine oil is a great
lubricant. Take apart an engine that's been
properly maintained and driven for a long time...you
won't see any metal to metal contact on the
bearings. That's because oil does it's job.
The fact is you'd have to be pretty dumb to drive a
car across the country with no oil in the engine!
The fact is I'd never put any of these treatments in
MY ole trucks!
