My 1941 3/4 ton Chevy has Artillery 6-hole wheels and I like them. I have a
few questions, maybe someone can help. 1.) Are they supposed to be black
or color of body? 2.) Are they supposed to have the stripe around the
edge? 3.) Has anyone tried tubeless tires on these? I was thinking of
putting Silicon seal around the rivets and giving it a try.

>Artillery wheels were standard on the 3/4 ton trucks up through 1939
(maybe
>'40). The inner disc of the wheel has a series of "spokes" attaching to
the
>rim, different from the 1/2 ton wheel with 4 wide attachment points. They
>are hard to find and highly sought after by the "older" truck folks. $300
>for a set of 4 would not be a bad price.
