Neil -

You don't have to remove the harmonic balancer plate.  Just drill the
two holes up thru the plate using the 216 front motor mount as a
template. Once you have a 216 motor mount in front of you, (it is three
separate pieces, one rubber and two metal) you will see that the two
bolts that fasten the mount to the engine go up thru the plate and the
two bolts that fasten the mount to the crossmember are actually
installed as part of the mount.  When you install the engine the two
bolts will fit in the holes in the front crossmember and the 2 locknuts
and cotter keys go on then.  This will make more sense when you have a
complete 216 front motor mount to look at.  Contact me if you have any
