Hi all...
I got around to doing some oletruck work in the shop again. I'm
building a 57 Suburban, planning on keeping the body stock
(uh...stock 59, that is, I'm swapping on the later front clip to
match my other 59s). The chassis is built, has a 72 Camaro
clip, and a F*rd 9" rear with the leaf springs moved under the
axle, and under the frame rails. Should be several inches lower
in front, and a few inches lower in the rear, but not completely
in the weeds. Power is a 454, TH400 combo (my favorite!).
Today I pulled the engine/tranny out of the chassis, and tore
them apart....they are out of my 66 Suburban that I sold a
couple years ago. They need freshening up, didn't look too bad
inside.
I still have a lot of bodywork to do...I haven't started yet,
other than sandblasting.
