First to quote the late Dr. Seuss:
I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.
I do not want to see any more messages about or referring to farmers.
I do not want to see any more messages about or referring to derogatory
statements.
I do not want to see any more messages that are not devoted to oletrucks
with [oletrucks] in the subject line.
I do not want them in my mail, nor on the archives.
I do not like them.

You are all guilty of list ettiquette infractions. I was in the midst of
summarily dropping you from the list, never to be seen again, but my wife
convinced me otherwise, it being the holiday season and all.
Instead, you have been granted a repreive, your penance will be an appology
message to the list that comprises some valuable oletruck content.
This mailing list is an electronic community. However, it differs alot
from other communities in that the membership has a very stong say in what
happens. In fact, nothing happens unless you send out a message. What
does that mean? That if the list does not have the content you wish it
did, it's your fault. You want more messages about authentic restoration?
Ask the questions or send out an anecdote about your recent progress or
lack there of. You want more messages about tuning the venerable straight
six? Post something on that topic. More on rodding? Ask about frenching
in that turn signal.
In short, this list is only as good as the collective that contributes to
it. I have neither the time nor the resources to act as den mother or
political analyst to 850 over grown eight year olds.
If things continue as they seem to be headed, my next actions may just be
to shut down the list entirely and let someone else take up the mantle and
start from scratch. (If someone is anxious to continue in my stead, just
let me know, I'll be happy to start sending the work your way)
You can not possibly know how sad it makes me to have to write this
message. Perhaps you might understand how it makes me feel to see long
time members of the list leave, because in part I have failed them, but
somehow I doubt it.
