On March 27th of this year my house burnt to the ground. My truck was
destroyed except for the frame. I am going to restore it. The people on
this list were kind enough to take up a collection and add a gift
certificate to help me start over. I cried out of gratitude when I got the
letter.
I checked into the hospital on Halloween. They did a quadruple bypass and
put in a pacemaker in two different operations. I got home and had to
return to the hospital in a dramatic ambulance ride. I almost did not make
it back. The pacemaker was not working properly. They re-programmed the
device with a computer and spared me yet another operation. I am back home
and dreaming of the day I can start on my truck which is somewhat delayed.
This list has meant so much to me. I feel lucky to have found this list.
The information and your kind act means a lot to me.
It makes me sad to come home from the hospital and see what is going on with
this list. I am going to think about it for a few days before I make a
decision to unsubscribe.
In spite of all that has happened this year, I still have a good attitude
and am grateful to be alive. However it is more important than ever that I
hang out with positive people. I really just can't stand much negativity.
Please stop this terrible nonsense. A real old trucker would not act this
way. Life is about being good to people and helping each other. I thought
that's what this list was all about. Please don't turn into something else.
