I earlier said you should put in hardened valve seats, and others on the
list disagree with me.  Looking at your question again, I originally thought
you were in the process of rebuilding the engine, what with all the other
questions you were asking.  Apparently, on second look now, you are not.  I
would agree with the others that seat replacement should not be done in
absence of a complete rebuild, too much work for not that much gain.
