Hey gang!
DRUID is becoming a daily driver. I've even taken her out on the highway a
couple of times. Which, of course, leads to my question.
The truck has the original engine (235), tranny (4 speed), and rear end
(??). By the time I get her up to about 45 it sounds and feel like we're
ready to shift to the next gear. Trouble is, there aren't any more. I'm
in 4th by then. I've gotten up to 55 mph without any trouble. It just
seems the RPM's are up there a ways.
What's a reasonable top speed for this pickup? My preference is to stay
stock (or at least very nearly), so this is more what can I expect than it
is asking what needs changed.
Also, On my way to work this morning I saw a chocolate brown '55 2nd
series. I'm in Denver and this was southbound on Federal Blvd around
44th. Didn't get a real good look at it, but nice first impression. Was
that anyone on this list?
Thanks for any & all help.
