I'm not sure if this applies with the available V8 kits r not...but when we
put the BBC and TH400 in my '57...we couldn't use a 3spd floorpan...needed to
use a 4spd floorpan with the "hump" in it.
Also, probably best to go with the newer style side motor mounts as
well...and then adapt (but it's probably available anyways) an new tranny
crossmember.
