Jim,
I don't know if anyone answered your question about the oil filter but I
think that you have the same filter that I do. If you will pull up on the
filter as you are turning it, it should start sliding up over the oil tube.
It usually gets stuck in the gunk that settles in the bottom of the filter
canister. I can get you a NAPA part # for the filter tomorrow. The top
should be glossy black.
