[oletrucks] hood emblem

hello,
on the '55 Chevy 2 ton im getting soon, its got some kind of bird like 
chrome hood emblem. is this original or something? ive seen a few, but never 
one up close, this one is in almost perfect condition chrome wise, but i 
dont know if its just something some PO stuck on, or if its a factory thing.
