I had a similar experience on the selling side, I was selling a JET chip and
there were 5 bidders and the winning bidder was nowhere to be found after
the auction closed. Well I tried and tried multiple times to get in touch
with him, but he disappeared. I got in contact with ebay and they sort of
have a remedy for situations like that, also giving bad reviews for such
people helps keep them away from ebay. I think in your case you have more
recourse because you already made a payment, do contact ebay and they will
help you.

List,
I have just come to the resolution that I got burned on an internet purchase
for truck parts. I have wanted a chrome bumper for my 1940 for some time. I
was shocked when a notice went out that one was available on eBay. Well I
won the auction three weeks ago and have not received my parts, and the
person does not return e-mail.
Since eBay does not force people to complete their auctions I am out my
money. More than I care to admit.
I do have the mailing address and have tried using some of the people search
web pages to try and get a phone number. No Luck. Anyone in or around Lake
Worth Florida ?
Well some of you will read this and say "I could have predicted that". Well
I make a living by dealing with computers and information and I guess I let
my guard down. I have completed a few other transactions on eBay with no
problem. But I guess it will be a while before I do it again. Looks like
it's back to swap meets for me.
