Hello,
First, let me say I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to
working on classic trucks, so please forgive me if I seem
ignorant....I'm still learning. Anyway, I've got a '54 Chevy
and the other day when I was working under the dash I
accidentally touched the battery side of the ignition switch
to the chassis, getting a nice little spark. I also broke a
wire so I decided to clean up some of the wiring. When I was
done, the engine started right up, but then I found I couldn't
shut it off with the ignition switch. For some reason the
ignition was always on. I thought it might be the switch, but
I checked it with no connections and it seems to work (it's not
shorted).
Any thoughts as to what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Jeff
