my 50 3100 has a 235 which i had rebuilt by a very reputable "ole timey"
garage here in town they actually had the .060 over pistions in stock for
it if that tells you anything, and the cranshaft to add anyway, i have an
oil leak that i would like your opinions on it appears to be blowing out
of the oil dipstick tube in a very small amount we thought maybe it has the
wrong dipstick in it but i checked some other 235s that had the same i did
not think there should have been a lot of pressure there anyway the
engine runs great otherwise when we built it,we checked the oil pressure
at the fitting at the back of the block and it was fine but my gage read
low come to find out, someone had put an external oil filter on it the
inside hose diameter was way too big and it was dropping the oil pressure at
the level where the gage was tapped in bypassing the filter right now
until i can find the right lines anyone have a source?
last question i bought a small vintage fan that i have seen mounted in some
old cars and trucks was getting ready to install but noticed it was 6v
truck has 12v i know that the 6v starters work with the 12v conversion
how about this add on fan?
thanks as always
